We are overjoyed that you have chosen to find out more information about this local body of believers called Faith Baptist. We exist to glorify God by making His name known where we live and extending to the ends of the earth. I hope that you already know Jesus and are continuing to make His name known wherever He has planted you. If not we would like to invite you to consider making the most important decision you will ever make. The decision to surrender all and follow Jesus.

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”  Gen 1:1 God is the creator of everything.  He spoke everything into existence by His powerful word. He is not only the Creator He keeps it all together, He sustains it. Hebrews 1:3 says “The Son is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by his powerful word.”  If He didn’t sustain everything it would cease to exist.

God authored His Word and by the Holy Spirit guided men to record it using their own unique God-given personalities, and experiences. The Bible in the original manuscripts is without error, it is completely trustworthy and sufficient for everything we need to live the Christian life.. 2 Timothy 3:16-17 says “ All scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.”  Scripture is the final authority on all decisions that are made in life and is to be applied to our daily lives.  Psalm 119:9 says “How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.” Psalm 119: verse 11 says “I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.” Hebrews 4:12 the word judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.”

God the Father sent His Son Jesus into this sin wrecked world to draw mankind to Himself. God sent Him so that through Jesus we might have a personal intimate relationship with God. Jesus is the only way to the Father John 14:6 says “Jesus answered I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”    Our Sin has separated us from the Father, so He sent His Son to take the place for our sins. John 3:16 says “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”   We all are sinners. Romans 3:23-24 “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  and are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”  So everyone has a choice to make. They can accept what Jesus did on the cross for them and ask forgiveness for their sins and make Jesus master of their life through a relationship with Him.  Or they can reject Him and live a life separated from Him eternally.  I am so thankful for His grace and mercy that He took me, a sinner, and forgave me of my sins and that He is the one in control of my life now. I do not want to live my way anymore but I want to live His way. The Holy Spirit draws people to Jesus and helps them understand that they are sinners, after salvation, He convicts us of our sins, and is called our comforter. John 16:8

God is a missionary God. He knew that mankind was going to sin. He already had a plan to send His Son. God cares and wants all to have a chance to hear the gospel.  One example in the O.T. was Nineveh, God cared for them and wanted them to hear about Him and repent of their sins.  Jonah had a bad attitude and cared about a plant more than the people who didn’t have a relationship with Him. May we see lost people the way God sees them, May we be compelled to share the gospel with them and disciple them. We can see in the N.T. in Acts 10 that God’s plan was for the Jews and Gentiles.  God does not want any to perish. 2 Peter 3:9 says “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.” The gospel is the most important message that we proclaim. Jesus came, He died, He resurrected three days later. His resurrection showed that He has the power over sin and death. We are to take this message into the entire world.  Acts 1:8 “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”   We are to be intentional about praying and sharing boldly with those who God puts in our pathway. We start where God has us now and then keep working outward to the ends of the earth.

Remember there are no lone rangers in the Kingdom of God. We need each other. We here at Faith Baptist would love for you to be a part of this fellowship where you can be equipped to engage a world that so desperately needs hope that is only found in the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that wherever God plants you that you will grow in the knowledge of the Lord Jesus.
